Howard Quick was one of the best Camden Cops. He was Like by all the Camden Fire Department firefighters in the city in the 50s-60s-70s era. The Police department put him working in with the Camden Fire Department in the radio room at city hall, then at the fire headquarters building on Fifth Street at Arch Street. He would go to all working fires day and night and knew the numbers of all the fire boxes and worked at fixing them up in the city.

I meet him when I was 12 years old. He was a great guy all the many years that I knew him. Even when he retired he would help out in the Fire Department canteen unit at all the big fires. He also had a 1929 Model A Ford fire truck that he took to parades, etc.

There is a photo of Howard Quick in our Camden Fire Department 125th Anniversary book on page 219 that I took in the 50s. There are not to many of us left that would remember him.
