CADWALLADER W. HUTCHINSON was born in Philadelphia around 1874. In 1895 he began working in the auditing department of the Pennsylvania Railroad. He moved to Camden NJ around 1907. During World War I, Cadwallader W. Hutchinson was one of the organizers of the Camden Home Guards, a paramilitary organization that engaged in civil defense work when called upon. Cadwallader W. Hutchinson retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad on 1939 after 44 years of service. A resident of 48 South 28th street in East Camden, he passed away at his home on May 29, 1950. He is buried at Arlington cemetery in Pennsauken NJ. |
