Art Still

Art Still was born December 5, 1955, in Camden, New Jersey. After starring for Camden High School and the University of Kentucky, Art Still went on to a 12 year career as a defensive lineman in the NFL. While at Kentucky he played alongside fellow Camden native Derrick Ramsey. He was the Southeastern Conference Player of the Year as a senior at the University of Kentucky.

The Kansas City Chiefs made Art Still the second overall choice in the 1978 NFL draft. Wearing number 67, he was a force against the run as well as an unstoppable pass rusher. Art Still was a four-time Pro Bowl selection, in 1980, 1981, 1982, 1984. He was named the Chiefs’ MVP twice (1980 and ‘84) and ranks third on the team’s all-time sack list with 72½. He is also credited with making 992 tackles and 11 fumble recoveries. After 10 years with Kansas City, Art Still was traded to the Buffalo Bills, where he played his final two seasons.

Art Still now lives in Kansas City, where he is in business and is active in community affairs.
