| Private First Class Zinn was a member of Company C, 1st
Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was seriously
wounded while fighting the enemy in the "Punchbowl" area of North
Korea and died of those wounds on September 20, 1951.
Private First Class Zinn was awarded the Purple Heart posthumously.
