PRIVATE FIRST CLASS JOHN B. HANLON was born on November 7, 1924. He had lived in the Kirkwood section of Voorhees Township NJ. John B. Hanlon was inducted into the United States Army on March 9, 1943. Army records state that he was killed in action on September 1, 1944, while newspaper accounts say that he was killed in action in December of 1944. After the war was over John B. Hanlon was brought back to the United States. Survived by his parents, Mr. John Hanlon of 2041 South 58th Street in Philadelphia PA, and Mrs. Dorothy Hanlon of 39 Spruce Street, Kirkwood NJ, he was buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA. |
