PRIVATE FIRST CLASS JOHN C. HUNSINGER, 23, of the Garden Lake section of  Lindenwold NJ was killed in action while serving with the United States Army. After being inducted into the United States Army he was assigned to a medical unit. It was reported that he received a  promotion while stationed at Camp Pickett VA in the September 23, 1942 edition of the Camden Couriier-Post. 

John Hunsinger went overseas, and served with the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infanmtry Division. He was killed in action on February 2, 1945. His death was reported in the Camden Courier-Post April 3, 1945 edition. He was survived by his mother Mrs. Catherine Hunsinger. An address on the Black Horse Pike, Cross Keys NJ, was given in the paper.
