SECOND LIEUTENANT RALSTON
E. BIXLER was born in 1916 to the Reverend and Mrs. C.E. Bixler. He had
married, and made his home with his wife Lorrayne H. Bixler, at 214
Redman Avenue in Haddonfield NJ. After qualifying for flight duty, he
was trained as a member of a bomber crew, and commissioned as a Second
Lieutenant in 1942. Assigned to the 401st Bomber
Squadron,
91st Bomber Group, Heavy, he flew out of Bassingbourn, England.
Ralston Bixler was
reported missing in action on February 26, 1943. His body was never
recovered and he was later declared to have been killed in action. He
was survived by his wife, of the Haddonfield NJ address, and his father,
then living in Miami FL.
