FATHER DIES IN BATTLE WITH GERMANS
Cpl.
Lawrence Wild, 24, of 2722 Tyler Avenue, who became the father of twin
girls April 17th, never knew he was blessed with a double
blessed event- he was killed in action five days later on the
blood-soaked soil of Germany. Missing: TEC SGT Edward T. Rodgers, 22, of 221 Ridgeway Street, Gloucester Rodgers, 22, is reported missing in action in Germany since April 1, according to word received by his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Charles E. Rodgers from the War Department. He formerly was a resident of Verga NJ and attended Paulsboro High School. He was inducted February 22, 1943 and was sent overseas last March. A brother, PFC Thomas H. Wagner is with the Army in France. |
