Camden
Fire Department |
This page and the other pages in this series are the successors to the series of web-page about the Camden Fire Department that began with the page Camden Fire Department: The Fires of the Summer of 2011. On this and other pages in the series you will find pictures and information regarding different events and aspects of the fire service in Camden, New Jersey. I made a point of spending some time at the East Side firehouse, and caught one interesting run, a reported gas leak at 1350 Park Boulevard that required a forced entry as no one was at home. Public Service Gas & Electric was contacted, the gas was shut off and the scene secured with no incident or injury. Gas explosions have, sadly, become somewhat commonplace in Philadelphia in recent years, to date Camden has not had an incident, and I can say with certainty after seeing its response to reported gas leaks that the Camden Fire Department is prepared and trained to handle such an emergency. As with the web page covering other Camden Fire Department events, if you can identify anyone that I've missed, please e-mail me. (I'm terrible at at names and faces). Phil
