Fire Department: The Fires of the Summer of 2011. On this and other
pages in the series you will find pictures and information regarding
different events and aspects of the fire service in Camden, New Jersey. November
28, 2012… the only flame we saw came from a hamburger on the gas grill
at Liberty Station! Just before lunch Ladder 2 and Engine 8 were
dispatched to the Creative Arts High School at Fillmore and Van Hook
Streets (the old Mickle School Annex) for an alarm activation, before
returning to quarters the companies were sent to Fairview to assist
police with a forcible entry… happily enough the occupant came to the
door without anything having to be done.
