Fire Department |
Magnetic Metals Corporation has been in operation on Hayes Avenue in the Cramer Hill section of Camden since 1942, manufacturing high grade nickel alloy laminations. The biggest fire to date in 2012, a building that was in the process of being emptied out caught fire around 11:00 PM on June 18, 2012. The fire went to six alarms before being brought under control. I arrived on scene at about the 13 minute mark, took my first shot at 11:07 AM, and was still there well over five hours later, taking my last shot at 4:45 AM. When I returned a few hours later, Engine 11 was still operating, wetting down hot spots. This is the third of four pages of photos of this fire. Links to continue to the next page, return to the first page, or skip ahead are at the bottom of this page. The photos are for the most part presented in the order in which they were taken… I was using two cameras, some photos taken in the same minute on each camera may be sequenced wrong, but that's small stuff! As with the web page covering other Camden Fire Department events, if you can identify anyone that I've missed, please e-mail me. (I'm terrible at at names and faces). Phil
