On this and other pages in the series you will find pictures and information regarding different events and aspects of the fire service in Camden, New Jersey.

I had stopped by Squad Company 7 around noon on March 14, 2012. At about 12:20 companies were dispatched downtown for a reported fire, the location of which was by the time we arrived in the area was reported to be on the Rutgers University campus in the vicinity of North 5th Street between Linden and Pearl Streets. An investigation proved negative and after the hydrant was opened up and tested we returned to quarters. Engine 1 was also on scene briefly.
