At approximately 11:30 PM on the night of March 10, 2012 a fire was reported at 1017 Princess Avenue in Camden's Parkside section. A child was critically injured and taken to the Crozer-Chester Burn Center while her mother was treated for smoke inhalation at Cooper Hospital. Mother, child hospitalized in Camden house fire CAMDEN, N.J. - March 11, 2012 (WPVI)—A mother and her child are on the mend after escaping a house fire in Camden. It happened 11:30 Saturday night on the 1000 block of Princess Avenue. The fire started in the kitchen and fire crews quickly arrived to bring the flames under control. Officials say the woman ran back inside the home to rescue her child and both were overcome with smoke. The mother was taken to Cooper University Hospital in stable condition and her child is listed in critical condition at Crozier-Chester Burn Center. Authorities are still unsure what sparked the blaze… |
