Fire Department |
This page and the other pages in this series are the successors to the series of web-page about the Camden Fire Department that began with the page Camden Fire Department: The Fires of the Summer of 2011. On this and other pages in the series you will find pictures and information regarding different events and aspects of the fire service in Camden, New Jersey. During the morning of January 24, 2012 Battalion Chief Don Johnson and Engine Company 1, which doubles as the crew of the Camden Fire Department's fireboat GEORGE M. JACKSON went to the marina at Wiggins Park to perform maintenance and to effect transport of the small rubber rescue boat back to Liberty Station. This small boat had been placed aboard the fireboat as a precautionary measure on New Years Eve. Accompanying Chief Johnson and Engine 1 were Camden Fire Department retiree Bill Colucci and myself. Another retiree, Rich Tate, stopped by the marina while we were there. All photos are presented in the order in which they were taken. Phil
