PRIVATE FIRST CLASS WALLACE F. ANDREW was born August 12, 1922 in New Jersey Thomas F. and Ethel M. Andrew. He grew up on the family farm, owned by his grandparents, Howard E. and Clara Andrew, along Chews Road between Andrew and New Freedom Roads in the Sicklerville section of Winslow Township NJ. His father passed away in 1935 at the age of 47.

Wallace F. Andrew was inducted into the United States Army on June 21, 1943 at Camden, New Jersey. He was unmarried and had a grammar school education when drafted. Army records state that his occupation was "Semiskilled chauffeurs and drivers, bus, taxi, truck, and tractor".

Private First Class Wallace Andrew died while serving in the United States Army on November 27, 1946. He is buried at Sicklerville Cemetery in Winslow Township NJ, where he rests next to his father. He was survived by his mother, grandmother, sister Thelma, and uncle Howard L. Andrew.
