STAFF SERGEANT THOMAS
MOHAN had enlisted in the United States Army prior to June of 1940. On
May 28, 1941, at Epiphmay Evangelist Lutheran Church in Camden, he married Caroline
Stutzel, youngest daughter of Ernest H.
Stutzel, a baker who lived for many years in the Cramer Hill section of
Camden. Thomas Mohan gave his address as 242 Daly Street in Philaelphia when he
married. Thomas and Caroline Mohan
lived at the Stutzel family home, 1102
North 26th Street in
Camden NJ.
Sergeant Mohan was wounded
in action on July 26,1944, suffering shrapnel wounds to
the abdomen. He died as a result of these wounds on August 4, 1944. He was
survived by his wife and at least one child.
