PRIVATE PATRICK CHARLES HARRIS was born to Charles H. and Lydia Harris in 1918. He had lived in Camden and Collingswood NJ, and by 1940 had taken a job as a receiving clerk at the Sears-Roebuck Department Store at 1300 Admiral Wilson Boulevard in Camden NJ, and by 1940 had moved to 4508 Roosevelt Avenue in nearby Pennsauken NJ

Inducted into the United States Army in October of 1941, he initially served at Fort Dix NJ. He was later sent to Savannah GA, where he took sick. He died at Stark General Hospital in Charleston SC on June 3, 1942 at the age of 24.

Patrick Harris was survived by his parents, and a sister, Lydia Harris. He was brought home to New Jersey, and buried at New Camden Cemetery in Camden NJ..
