PRIVATE MILTON F. WESCOTT was born in 1923 to Mr. and Mrs. Milton F. Wescott. The family, which in 1930 included older brother Irvin and older sisters Doris, Myrtle, Mary, and Mildred and grandmother Mary T. Wescott, lived at 1202 Octagon Road in the Yorkship Square neighborhood of Camden NJ. When inducted into the Army, Milton Wescott was living with his grandmother, who then resided at 11 Kingfisher Place, Audubon Park NJ.

After basic training Private Wescott was assigned to Company A of the 141st Infantry Regiment, 36th Infantry Division. He was killed in action while serving in Italy on January 21, 1944. He is buried at Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Nettuno, Italy. His death was reported in the April 2 and August 24, 1944 edition of the Camden Courier-Post.
