PRIVATE MARTIN W. ROSER was born in New Jersey in 1901. He left school prior to the ninth grade. He turns up in the 1930 Census living in the 100 block of Walnut Street in North Cape May NJ, where he worked as a city employee in "Sanitation". He was unmarried at the time, a Carrie Caplan, aged 44 and separated from hr husband, also resided at the address,

Martin Roser apparently had moved to Camden County by the early 1940s. He was inducted into the United States Army at Camden NJ on September 14, 1942. He was unmarried at the time of his induction.

Private Roser died of causes not related to combat during World War II.
