PRIVATE FIRST CLASS JOSEPH COOPER, 22, of 6903 Park Avenue, Pennsauken NJ was killed in action on September 25, 1944. A 1939 graduate of Gloucester High School, Cooper had worked as a plumber�s helper prior to entering the Army in January of 1943. He had played baseball with the St Phillip�s Baseball Club of Gloucester City and the Pennsauken BC. Joseph Cooper went overseas in August of 1944, serving with the 318th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division. He was survived by Mr. and Mrs. John Finney, his grandparents, of the Pennsauken NJ address.
