PRIVATE HERMAN ROGER STORM was born about 1923. He grew up at 6722 Irving Avenue in Pennsauken NJ, and was a 1940 graduate of Merchantville (NJ) High School. His father was Herman G. Storm, a department store manager, who wed sometime after the January 1920 Federal census. He enlisted in the United States Army on January 22, 1942. He was sent overseas in June of that year. 

Assigned to an aviation ordinance unit, he was died of injuries received when a bomb accidentally exploded, in North Africa on June 26, 1943. Private Frank Allen of Pennsville NJ was killed in the same accident. He was survived by his parents, and a younger brother, Bishop Storm, who was serving with an engineer aviation battalion. His death was reported in the July 28, 1943 edition of the Camden Courier-Post.

Private Storm was brought home to New Jersey in the early part of 1949. He was buried at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson NJ on February 19, 1949.
