COLONEL HARRY L. JORDAN
was born around 1879 in Virginia. A career Army officer, he married his
wife Fanny C. Cory Jordan, a native Iowan, around 1911. Harry Jordan
served in World War I. He had already reached the rank of Lieutenant
Colonel by January of 1920, when he and his wife were living in Raleigh
NC. At the time of the 1930 census, he was stationed in Baltimore MD,
where he rented an apartment at 610 Cathedral Street. Also living with
the Jordan's was 88 year-old mother-in-law Eliza Cory. By 1940 Harry and
Fanny Jordan were living at 14 Treaty Elm Lane in Haddonfield NJ.
Colonel Harry L. Jordan died of causes
not related to combat while serving with the
United States Army during World War II.
