PRIVATE HARRY J. HORROCKS was born in Camden NJ to John N. and Hallie Horrocks on March 1, 1922. His father worked as a printer. By 1930 the family had moved to Mantua Township NJ, where they lived on Barnsboro-Pitman Road. Harry Horrocks graduated from Pitman High School in Pitman NJ in 1939. He enlisted in the United States Army on November 30, 1942.

Private Harry Horrocks was killed in action in France on October 19, 1944.

Harry Horrocks was brought home to New Jersey in 1948. He was buried at Harleigh Cemetery in Camden NJ on December 18th of that year. He was survived by his parents, who by then had moved to Mississippi, and his brother Lieutenamt John N. Horrocks Jr., United States Navy.
