PRIVATE FIRST CLASS ANTHONY BRUNETTI was the son of Rocco and Lillian Brunetti. He was born in Pennsylvania around 1921. There were two brothers, Frank and William, and two sisters, Anna and Frances. The Brunetti family moved to New Jersey around 1924, and in April of 1930 were renting a home in Vineland NJ at 831 Almond Street. The Brunetti family made its home in the early 1940s at 706 Spruce Street in Camden NJ. Both Anthony and his father worked as drivers for Jersey Cleaners in Camden, Rocco having worked in the laundry business for many years. Anthony Brunetti was inducted into the United States Army. He was assigned as a replacement to the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. Private First Class Brunetti was killed in action during the fighting in Normandy on August 4, 1944. |
