PRIVATE
MARTIN ROSER WALDVOGEL was the son of Martin and Daisy Waldvogel, of Atco,
New Jersey. He was drafted February 25, 1918, and sent to Camp Dix for training.
He served in Headquarters Company, 312th Infantry Regiment, 78th Infantry Division, and
took part in all of the battles
that the 78th Division was in.
Three
days after the Armistice was signed, Martin Valdvogel was stricken with
pneumonia. He died on November 16, 1918 in France. Private Waldvogel was
survived by his parents. He was brought home after the war, and buried
at Atco Cemetery near his parents
