CARROLL COURT is in the Crescent Gardens development at the extreme south end of Camden's Fairview section. This project was built sometime after 1942 and before 1947. The court runs southwest from Independence Road to the development's property line. |

School Custodian Fatally Stricken |
Thomas A. Evans, 66. of 3231 Carroll Court, Crescent Gardens, collapsed and died Friday in the Yorkship School, where he had been employed as a custodian for the last seven years.
A native of Delaware, Mr.
Evans resided in the Fairview section for 36 years. He was a
retired supervisor at New York Shipbuilding Corp. and a member of the Camden School Janitors Union and
the New Jersey Educational Association.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine M,; two daughters, Miss Kathryn M., of Camden, and Mrs. Adrienne Fink, of Audubon Park; a son, Thomas J., of Turnersville; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Lamb, of Cross Keys; five brothers, Percy H., of Audubon Park; Austin C. of Riley Park, Pa.; Byard, of Philadelphia and Ormand and Walter, of Camden, and four grandchildren.
A requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joan of Arc Church, Collings and Alabama Roads. Relatives and friends will meet at 8 a.m. in a funeral home at 1530 Collings Road, where they may call Monday night. Burial will be in New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
