Camden Catholic High School, located in Camden NJ between Broadway and North 7th Street at Federal Streets, fielded a football team prior to World War II. The Fighting Irish returned to the gridiron in 1946, and after mixed results in the team's first year, became a powerhouse in New Jersey high school football. Camden Catholic High School was badly damaged in a fire on April 17, 1960. Instead of rebuilding in Camden, a new Camden Catholic High School was built outside the city at Route 38 and Cuthbert Road. |

Camden Catholic High School Football - 1951 Season |
My father, Bill Seitzinger Sr., is #22 in the 1950 CCH football team photo. 1950 was my father's sophomore year at CCH. The attached photos and articles are from my dad's scrapbook. It was made for him by his sister during his senior year. Dad went to University Georgia on a football scholarship after that season. Bill
