Haddon Tavern

Camden Bar
1000 Haddon Avenue

Introduction

The bar at 1000 Haddon Avenue sits at the southeast corner of Haddon Avenue and Walnut Street. In 1933 and 1934 the address housed Sloan’s Cafe, which closed by 1936. Around 1939 the bar was taken over by Michael Mulvihill, who operated it through 1947.

By 1959 the address was home to the Haddon Tavern, which remained in operation through the late 1960s. By 1977 the bar had closed.
