Chez La Joy

Chez La Joy operated at the southwest corner of Mount Ephraim Avenue and Mechanic Street in the mid-1930s, under the management of Fred Klosterman. The club featured floor shows with Black entertainers brought directly from New York’s famous night clubs. The location later became Club Cadix and then Chaney’s Bar.
