Camden Police Department Roster, 1910–1949

On this page you will find a list of men who served with the Camden Police Department. The men listed are those who joined the force between April 19, 1910 and January 17, 1949. The list does not include all hires, but rather all those who were still serving in early 1949.

The list was kept by Sergeant William Schultz of the Camden Police Department, who, up until the early 1980s, noted those men who had retired and/or passed away. Sergeant Schultz passed away in October of 1986.

In September of 2006 a roster of police officers from the mid-1960s was made available, when Keith Kauffman was public safety director and Harold Melleby was Chief of Police. A few of the younger officers who had been on the force in 1949 were still serving when that list was compiled.
